Singing Our Hearts Out is a cabaret production presented by Washington, DC-based performers Karen Lange and Courtney Tisch, in partnership with Pinky Swear Productions. After a sold out one-night performance at the Bethesda Theater this past February, this entirely female cast is back to sing songs ranging from musical theater to jazz to today’s pop music as well as present original solo performance work. The women in the cast have been principle performers at American Century Theater, Factory 449 Productions, Hexagon, Imagination Stage, Olney Theater Center, Pinky Swear Productions, Shakespeare Theater Company, Studio Theater, Taffety Punk, and Washington Improv Theater.

Capital Blend is a Washington DC based all-female a’ cappella group formed in the spring of 2008 and consists of women from a wide variety of professions. Capital Blend performs in and around the DC Metro area at venues ranging from the Washington Nationals Stadium to retirement communities and corporate events. The group’s repertoire includes popular music, oldies but goodies, international hits, and original compositions.

Kismet is a 12-woman a’ cappella group formed when fate– or, well, kismet– brought a group of like-minded singers to the same cafe in early 2003. They have been singing together ever since and have recently performed at SingStrong (an annual a cappella festival in Reston, VA) and the National Building Museum’s Volunteer Appreciation Event as well as at awards banquets, weddings, and coffee shops in and around Washington, DC.

Coming Soon http://cityartisticpartnerships.org/cap/coming-soon/ http://cityartisticpartnerships.org/cap/coming-soon/#comments Tue, 23 Sep 2008 14:59:42 +0000 Administrator http://cityartisticpartnerships.org/cap/coming-soon/ We are endeavoring to take over the day-to-day operations of the Warehouse Theater and continue to run it as a multi-use performing arts venue. We believe strongly that the city has lost too many venues of this size and know they are vital to the diversity of artistic expression this city has grown to enjoy! Please email if you would like to help in any way to achieve this goal. Emails should be sent to our Executive Director Matty Griffiths at mattyg@cityartisticpartnerships.org. Thank you!

    Stay tuned!

THE MALL, THE MERRIER, a holiday cabaret at the Warehouse Theater!

As the song suggests, it’s the most wonderful time of the year and this cabaret is out to prove it. Barbara Papendorp, Elver Ariza and Scott Sedar bring to life the denizens of a holiday shopping mall. At the hub of the holiday madness is an automated talking teddy bear, voiced by a hapless actor trapped in a festive gift box.
